Harriet Mackie-Savage

Having previously taught in two other East Sussex primary schools and across key stage one and two I have always been impressed with the warm and welcoming nature of St John's Meads. As I begin my third year I have the privilege of teaching Year 5, which I am greatly looking forward to.

Additionally, I have taken on the role of English lead as well as continuing to lead History and Philosophy and co-ordinating trips and events. These are all subjects which I am passionate about and I'm looking forward to continuing to develop these areas; building on pupils' interests throughout the school and ensuring that all pupils' have the best possible exposure to an engaging and creative curriculum. I believe that foundation subjects, as well as core subjects, are crucial when developing lifelong learners and allowing children to develop and realise their potential.
