George Gibson

School Governor

I moved to Eastbourne, from London, in the mid-sixties to take up a teaching post in Willingdon and have worked in the town since then. During that time I have made a number of connections in the town and as a PE teacher I played several sports, including tennis at ROMPA which, of course is in the Meads. I do indeed have a sound knowledge
of the local community.

My background is in secondary education but have a general interest in education with all age groups. Now that I am retired, I am looking forward to supporting the school generally and the teaching staff in particular. After so many years in schools, I have the experience to pass on ideas and offer support.
