I moved to Eastbourne a couple of years ago and like every parent at the school, I have a strong interest that all children get the best possible start through early education, in what they learn, as well as their ability to develop emotionally, socially and spiritually. I have worked in the public sector for almost 20 years as a civil servant and I am a project delivery and change management specialist. Over the last decade, I have held a series of senior leadership roles, currently delivering major change programmes and previously heading a department of over 500 civil servants, with responsibilities including service delivery, budget management, recruitment and staff welfare. My job requires me to understand complex problems, then devise and implement sensible solutions to make significant improvements. My perspective as both a parent and change management specialist will – I hope – bring real value to the Board and I am looking forward to helping St John’s Meads to deliver excellent education and opportunities which will enrich all pupil’s lives and enable them to flourish.
